Future Stars Parents Group are looking for volunteers to join in their Active Community Walking Circles.
The group is launching an 8 week walking program, and are looking for volunteers to get involved. Whether you can do 1 week, 2 weeks or all 8 the group would love for you to join them.
The purpose of the walks is to create intercultural bonding and unity through wellbeing.
English Language Support Volunteer
Facilitate weekly conversational English sessions with small groups of participants on Saturday mornings in Dundalk town from 10.30am to 12.30pm. This role calls for minimum commitment of 2 Saturdays every 4/5 weeks. Use Fáilte Isteach’s training methods to provide practical language support, focusing on everyday conversational English.
Roles in Drogheda & South Louth
Tullyallen Community Centre is looking to put together a panel of volunteers with electrical, carpentry or plumbing skills.
Volunteers will be tasked with helping to maintain the centre and ensure facilities are in good working order.
Tullyallen Community Centre will be offering flexible volunteering to volunteers and will put out a call to volunteers when an item is in needed of inspection/repair and arrange a time that suits the volunteer to do so.
Drogheda Girl Guides are looking for volunteers to assist Guide Leaders in working with the girls; Helping with the girls in their badge work, Arts and Crafts, cooking, hiking, safety in the home, safe cross code etc.
They sometimes undertake camping and trips away with the older girls and learn about practical indoor and outdoor skills and how to be aware of the care and needs of others.
Tullyallen Community Centre are looking for volunteers to support them with the day to day running of the centre.
The volunteer would be tasked with:
Ensuring the building and grounds are clean and prepared for use
Opening and closing the building for community groups;
Assist groups with set-up (tables, chairs, equipment) etc.
