Special Olympics Ireland’s Annual Collection Day is happening on Friday, May 2nd – and we need amazing volunteers to help make it a huge success. This day is vital to keeping our programmes running for over 8,000 incredible athletes across Ireland. Have you got 2 hours to spare between 9am and 6pm? That’s all it takes to make a difference – grab a bucket, flash a smile, and help us raise much-needed funds.

Dundalk Women's Shed are seeking volunteers to assist with set up for their weekly Monday morning meetings.
Volunteers will be tasked with assisting with set up of chairs and tables, serve tea, coffee and refreshments to the Shed's 70+ strong members. Volunteers can be part of a rota so they do not need to volunteer every week.

Dundalk Darkness Into Light Road Volunteers
Volunteers are required for Dundalk Darkness into Light 5k walk/run.
Volunteers can be 16 or over, but must be accompanied by an adult.
This is an early morning event and volunteers will be required from 3.15 to 5.am approx on Saturday, 10th May 2025.
Volunteers can leave the event once all runners/walkers pass by where you are positioned.
Volunteers will be needed to help at various road crossing points throughout the route and help at the start/finish.
Volunteers will be under instruction of the chief steward and will be assisting with traffic management and general safety cover. Refreshments will be served following the race.

Habitat for Humanity are looking for volunteers to assist them in their new ReStore.
Volunteers are needed to help assist van driver with collections of large donations from houses, assist with moving the larger items in the shop, assist customers loading purchases into the car, Volunteers will also be needed to help clean and prepare items for sale.- Minimum time commitment: 3 months Hours required: 4 hours weekly

Drogheda Homeless Aid aims to restore dignity and hope by providing care, support and shelter for homeless men, encouraging self-development, independent living and resettlement. Drogheda Homeless Aid caters for 22 residents at any one time with 140 men typically staying in the hostel in a typical twelve-month period. Drogheda Homeless Aid is also a housing association with 4 long term houses and 5 transitional houses.
