Launch of #LouthLandOfLegends Campaign

Louth is known as the Land of Legends, with stories from the Táin and legends such as Fionn MacCumhaill and the Salmon of Knowledge, Queen Medb and the Bó Cualaigne all coming out of the wee county. But legends walk among us every day – volunteers.

Monday the 18th May should have been the start of National Volunteering Week but as with so many things during this crisis it had to be postponed and is now taking place in September. The team in Louth Volunteer Centre, however, wanted to mark the date by thanking volunteers and showing them how much they are appreciated by their community.

We have teamed up with some of our well know Louth Legends this week to say a massive thank you to all of the volunteers across the county this week and we want you all to join in.

We will be releasing the videos throughout the week on our social media channels (@volunteerlouth) and on our YouTube Channel. We are encouraging everyone to get involved by liking and sharing these posts to show your appreciation, and to also share your own volunteeering stories with us!
